Memphis State University -graduate work

This is my 13th year in the Douglas County Schools.  Previously, I have been with Cobb County, Memphis City Schools, and one year in New York.  My teaching experiences include Pre-K through sixth grade as well as the performing arts.   I have been blessed to receive several recognitions:  Kiwanis G.E.M (Going the Extra Mile), Memphis City Teacher of the Year, Walmart Teacher of the Year, and NMES (in DC) Teacher of the Year.  During my years, I have chaired the United Way drive, Relay for Life, and worked as a consultant for The Weather Channel for eight years.

     I love my job!

I was born, raiised, and educated in New York.  Yes, I am a Yankee!   I had an amazing opportunity to dance in Chorus Line in the city.   Then I began my first year teaching.   The next year,  I moved to Memphis, Tennessee.  (Graceland was already taken)  Eventually, family brought me to Georgia where I will stay happily until I retire.
