I received my a B.A. in Mass Communications from West Georgia College in 1992.  In 1996, I completed my teacher certification in middle grades education.  I received my Masters degree in middle grades math in 2005, from the State University of West Georgia.  I received my ESOL certification as well.  I am certified in grades P-6.


1996-1999: I taught 5th grade for two years, and 4th grade for one year at Annette Winn Elementary.

1999-2011:  On mother duty with my two girls, Kristin and Laura.

2011-present: I taught 5th grade my first year at ASES and just completed my 5th year in 3rd grade, where I serve as team leader.


I am a product of the Douglas County School System, as I have lived here all of my life.  I attended Bill Arp Elementary, Fairplay Middle, Douglas Co. High for two years, and Alexander High School for two years.  I have been married to my husband for 23 years.  We have two daughters who attend schools in Douglas County.  Kristin is a senior at CHHS and Laura is a 6th grader at CHMS.
